Abalone, Pink Mussel On Braided Lace Necklace

One of a kind pink mussel with white abalone on hand braided beige and antique brown kangaroo lace with an abalone closure. 

Abalone : I hand collect my abalone from the Pacific northwest in Mendocino, CA. I climb down cliffs with a backpack on extreme negative tides so I can get around the headlands before the tide comes in. It is dangerous and not for the faint of heart. I then drill and tumble the pieces in walnut shells for an all over lustrous shine. 

This cord is one of the strongest in the world. It will wear beautifully, is waterproof and will last for many years where other leathers would fail.
