Hand turned hand drilled sleeping beauty turquoise or “walking beauty” as it is also known. This strand is 4mm to 13mm tapered smooth rondells. The strand  34 1/2” and have been individually knotted and strung on like colored Japanes silk. Accented with a simple handmade 14K yellow gold hammered closure and findings.

Purchased on one of my many cross country trips I took over twenty plus years ago. Purchased in either in Gila or Globe AZ on a reservation in what is called Navajo Nation.

Sleeping beauty turquoise is one of the finest and rarest of all the turquoise. It is prized for its robin egg blue color.
