Abalone, Turquoise & Coral On Braided Lace Necklace

This piece is three dimensional, one of a kind vintage Kingman Arizona slab turquoise from the 1960's mixed with rare (over 20 years old) orange coral and hand collected, drilled, then tumbled northern California abalone. Hand braided saddle colored kangaroo leather lace brings the entire necklace into focus with an abalone shell closure. The necklace in its entirety is 50" long from clasp to tip 6 1/2" of that the pendant. The necklace can also be wrapped around two to three times depending upon your neck circumfrance to make the abalone closure a focal point on the neck as well.

I have a limited supply of 1960's Kingman turquoise that I purchased as boulder from a rockhound (who is now in his late 80's) that was mined by him and cut for this application. Once it is gone it is gone.

This necklace has four large pieces of 1960's Kingman turquoise slab, two 18 x 7 mm orange coral teardrops and seven pieces of Northern California abalone including closure.

This piece has sold.  I can certainly make you a similar custom option. Please reach out for further information.
