Opal Earrings

Interesting use of a single piece of Coober Pedy white opal. This was one piece of opal that I accidentally broke so I thought a fun way to reuse them would be to set them as a mismastched pair of earrings. They make great earrings due that the flash is exposed on all sides in sparkly greens, yellow, blues and red. Set in 14K yellow gold polished in my traditional buttery matte finish. Hanging 1" in the ear. One of a kind.

Coober Pedy is a famous opal mine in Australia. Australia has been the world's primary source of opals since the 1880's.
