Abalone Waterfall Neckace

One of a kind Pacific red abalone necklace in my waterfall design on hand braided orange and white kangaroo lace with baby blue lace accent. It makes the most wonderful sound as you move. Hangs from the neck at 22" not adjustable.

I have a limited collection of pacific red abalone that I aquired in Mendocino county in northern california. I climbed down 50ft cliffs to tiny beaches below the headlands and unreachable unless at the lowest annual tides. It is dangerous and extremely rewarding if done carefully. The shells make a sound reminiscent to that of the rocky coastline where they are collected as the waves roll onto shore and disclose their location.
