I have an limited collection of red abalone from Northern California. This is abalone that I have hand collected by climbing down cliffs on extremely low tides in Mendocino, CA. It is dangerous and not for the faint of heart. I collect only the finest pieces that have washed up on the rocky shore or been lodged in crevaces under the headlands. After drilling for different applications I then tumble the pieces in large vibratory tumblers with walnut shell medium to achieve an even lustre.
* This is not your average sea shell necklace, it is one of a kind creation. The process from beachcombing to finished product is extensive therefore this piece is unlike anything you will ever own.
